Fee Schedule
Text to be validated by legal counsel
This is a first draft of the document for Coinbar s. r. o. under Slovak and EU law. It has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel; the items in square brackets are still to be completed.
This Fee Schedule sets out the costs and charges of the crypto-asset services of Coinbar s. r. o. and forms part of the information on costs that Coinbar provides to clients under Article 66 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 of the European Parliament and of the Council on markets in crypto-assets (MiCA).
The Slovak version of this document is the legally binding one. The English and Italian versions are translations provided for information only.
1. Introduction
This Fee Schedule is issued by Coinbar s. r. o. ("Coinbar"), a crypto-asset service provider supervised by Národná banka Slovenska (NBS). It lists the fees and costs of the services Coinbar provides under Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 of the European Parliament and of the Council on markets in crypto-assets (MiCA): custody and administration of crypto-assets on behalf of clients (Article 75), exchange of crypto-assets for funds or for other crypto-assets as own-account exchange "Coinbar Direct" (Article 77), and transfer services for crypto-assets on behalf of clients (Article 82).
Before you confirm an exchange or a withdrawal, the app shows you all the costs of that specific operation again — the commission, the spread included in the price and, for withdrawals, the estimated network fee — on the quote or on the summary screen. The costs that apply are those shown on the screen you confirm.
Coinbar charges only the fees listed in this Fee Schedule; no separate fee is charged for the custody and administration of your crypto-assets.

2. Exchange — Coinbar Direct
In every exchange Coinbar is your direct counterparty: it trades for its own account (Article 77 MiCA), gives you a firm quote and settles the exchange from its own inventory. Your request is not passed on to external trading venues.
| Item | Amount | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Commission | 1.00% of the EUR value of the exchange | Standard rate, always shown separately on the quote. A different rate may apply to your account tier: the rate that applies to you is always shown on the quote before you confirm. |
| Spread | Within a band of 1%–2% | Included in the quoted price, not charged separately: buy price = P_ref × (1 + s/2), sell price = P_ref × (1 − s/2), where s is the spread. |
| Exchange EURC/EUR | 1:1 — no commission, no spread | Also applies to the automatic exchange into EURC of the euros you deposit (section 3). EURC is an e-money token (EMT) of a third-party issuer, not a euro balance. |
| Quote validity | 30 seconds | 15 seconds in high volatility (a price movement of more than 5% in 24 hours). When the quote expires you need to request a new one; EURC/EUR quotes have no validity limit. |
| Maximum amount | EUR 15,000 per transaction (retail clients) | Limits for business clients are set individually. Larger amounts only as separate transactions, each with its own quote (section 6). |
How the price is formed
The reference price P_ref is the mid-price of the Kraken order book — (best bid + best ask) / 2 — in real time; Kraken is the only pricing source. CoinMarketCap, LiveCoinWatch and CoinGecko are used only as control sources and never as a price. The quote shows the pair, the quantity, the price, the spread, the commission, the resulting amount and the validity, and states that Coinbar is your direct counterparty.
When you confirm the quote within its validity, the exchange is final and is executed at the price shown (Article 77(3) MiCA); the price is not changed afterwards.
3. Deposits
Coinbar charges no fee for deposits. Your bank or the sending wallet may charge its own fees, which are outside Coinbar’s control.
| Method | Coinbar fee | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit of BTC, ETH, SOL or XRP | Free | The network fee is paid by the sender. The deposit is credited once finality has been reached on the network and the compliance checks are complete. |
| Deposit of USDC or EURC (e-money tokens, EMT) | Free | Only on the Ethereum network (ERC-20). A deposit sent on a different network is not credited automatically and requires manual recovery. |
| Deposit of euros by SEPA transfer or SEPA Instant (via Verifo) | Free | With your prior consent to automatic exchange, the euros received are exchanged into EURC 1:1 — no commission, no spread — and credited to your custody position. Coinbar does not hold euro balances for clients. |
Euros that cannot be exchanged into EURC because your consent is missing or has been revoked, or because the transfer cannot be matched to your account, are returned to the originating IBAN by the end of the following business day.
4. Withdrawals and transfers
A withdrawal transfers crypto-assets from your custody position to an external address (transfer service, Article 82 MiCA). Before you confirm, the summary shows the fees and warns you that blockchain transfers are irreversible.
| Operation | Fee | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Withdrawal of BTC, ETH, SOL or XRP — network fee | Estimated and shown before you confirm; deducted from the amount withdrawn | Paid to the blockchain network, not to Coinbar; it depends on network conditions. For XRP the destination tag of the receiving address is required, or your express confirmation that the address does not use one. |
| Withdrawal of BTC, ETH, SOL or XRP — Coinbar transfer fee | [TO BE COMPLETED: Coinbar transfer fee for crypto-asset withdrawals] | Any Coinbar fee is always shown on the summary before you confirm. |
| Withdrawal of USDC or EURC | Not available | E-money tokens (EMT) cannot be withdrawn or transferred to an external address or to another client, and Coinbar does not redeem them. You can exit a USDC or EURC position only by exchanging it (section 2). |
| Withdrawal in euros to your own verified IBAN (via Verifo) | Not yet available | Planned for a later phase. This Fee Schedule will be updated before the service is offered. |
5. Travel Rule
Transfers of crypto-assets are subject to Regulation (EU) 2023/1113 of the European Parliament and of the Council on information accompanying transfers of funds and certain crypto-assets (Transfer of Funds Regulation) (the "Travel Rule"): with every transfer to or from another crypto-asset service provider Coinbar transmits the required information on the originator and the beneficiary, without a minimum amount. The additional information you are asked to provide in the app (beneficiary details and, for a self-hosted address, confirmation that you own or control it) depends on the threshold in force under Coinbar’s anti-money-laundering policy, which may apply to every transfer. Before you confirm a withdrawal, the app tells you whether this information is required.
Collecting and transmitting this information carries no fee.
6. Limits
The following limits apply:
- Coinbar Direct: a maximum of EUR 15,000 per transaction for retail clients. A larger amount can only be exchanged as separate transactions, each with its own quote.
- The limits of your account tier (for deposits, withdrawals and exchanges) are shown in the app for your account and are applied before an operation becomes final, including to e-money token deposits and to the automatic exchange of euros into EURC.
- Limits for business clients are set individually after the verification of the business (KYB) and, where required, enhanced due diligence.
7. Changes to fees
Coinbar informs you of any change to this Fee Schedule in advance, at least [TO BE COMPLETED: advance notice period for fee changes] before the change takes effect.
If you do not agree with a change, you may terminate the contract free of charge before the change takes effect.
An operation you have already confirmed keeps the costs shown on the quote or summary you confirmed. The current version of this Fee Schedule is always available on this page.
8. Taxes
Coinbar does not provide tax advice. You are responsible for your own tax obligations; for Slovak tax residents the Slovak Income Tax Act (zákon č. 595/2003 Z. z. o dani z príjmov) applies.
From 1 January 2026 Coinbar collects and reports data on crypto-asset users and their transactions to the Slovak tax authority (Finančná správa SR) under the Slovak act on the automatic exchange of information (zákon č. 359/2015 Z. z. o automatickej výmene informácií o finančných účtoch), which transposes Directive (EU) 2023/2226 ("DAC8"). You must therefore provide your tax residence information.
Value added tax on the fees: [TO BE COMPLETED: statement on whether the fees are subject to VAT]
